As a familiar and trusted face in both Alberta’s Legislature and Canada’s House of Commons, Charlie brings a deep understanding of government mechanics, major project management, and strategic communications at both the provincial and national levels.

At New West Public Affairs, Charlie leads client servicing and operations, supporting corporate, non-profit, and industry clients with their government relations and lobbying efforts. He provides strategic counsel on political engagement, legislative developments, and issues management, with a focus on Alberta and federal files.

Before joining New West, Charlie served as Director of Operations in Premier Jason Kenney’s Office. In this role, he oversaw communications planning, executive stakeholder meetings, national and international mission coordination, legislative proceedings, Executive Council functions, and major announcements. He worked closely with department heads, other levels of government, and key stakeholders across the province.

Charlie began his political career in Ottawa in the Office of the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, the Honourable Andrew Scheer. As the youngest member of the Leader’s senior staff team, he held roles including Ontario Regional Advisor & Caucus Liaison, Executive Assistant to the Leader, and Stakeholder Relations Advisor. He specialized in stakeholder engagement, media coordination, image management, organizational strategy, and national political tours.

Most recently, Charlie served on the 2025 Pierre Poilievre central campaign as a member of the logistics management team, contributing to the successful execution of the national tour.

Born and raised in Caledonia, Ontario, Charlie earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and philosophy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Frequently in Ontario and British Columbia, he maintains strong relationships with former colleagues now working across government, non-profit, and corporate sectors.

Charlie calls Calgary home with his wife, Lindsay.
